If on - island or planning to visit come and see us at the Waimea Homestead Farmer's market on the first and third Saturdays of the month. Stop by to sample some coffee and take a picture with us to add to our Facebook family photo album. This farmer's market is one of the best on the island with all local products and spectacular produce. Market is open every Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon and is located at the 55 mile marker of HWY 19. If you need more specific directions just contact us. If in Keauhou stop by the Blue Journey both at Keauhou Farmer's market every Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Our wonderful friend Stephanie offers her home grown garden goodies along with our Makua Coffee.
The harvest season has come to an end and we will now start pruning and trimming the farm, getting the trees ready for next season where we hope for an even better harvest. Some of the trees are 20+ feet tall and made for very difficult picking, but they will be cut down to size which should increase the yield over the next few years. If anyone needs coffee branches let us know, they are free for anyone who is willing to come and get them.
Also want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and look forward to providing you the best 100% Kona Coffee in 2011.
Aloha,
Stacy Aurway,
Makua Coffee Company
